The vineyard sits on a hill facing Cascina, about 500m from the winery as the crow flies.
The vineyard is just under one hectare in size and is planted with Nebbiolo grapes only the best of which are selected to produce the single vineyard Barolo Le Coste di Monforte. The type of soil belongs to the marne di Sant’Agata fossili sabbiose formation. The vineyard has east/southeast exposure.
