The harvest at Amalia Cascina in Langa is a moment of intense evaluation and reflection. It is, in fact, managed through sensorial checks and technical and phenological maturity. The results are always discussed with the agronomist and the oenologist in order to enable us to choose the optimal period. The harvest, exclusively manual, is managed directly by the owners, with a meticulous selection while still on the plant.
The winery is made up exclusively of thermo-conditioned stainless steel containers and barriques and tonneaux barrels in French, fine grained oak. Every room is temperature controlled and the room used for refinement is also humidity controlled. The pumps and all of the equipment are in stainless steel and alimentary rubber in order to maintain cleanliness and guarantee total hygiene.
Amalia Cascina in Langa has opted for a traditional style of production, with respect for the culture of Langhe, through the use of technology merely to improve the procedures and guarantee a greater respect for the wine during its manufacture. Adorning the winery are also numerous works of art, among which the works of the Turin artists Gilda Brosio and Renato Brazzani.
